Democrat Gamefowl for Sale
The Democrat gamefowl was developed through a collaboration between Mr. Blondie Rollan and Mr. William McRae at their farm in Alabama during the early 1960s. Both breeders were dedicated supporters of the late President John F. Kennedy, and they named their crossbreed “Democrats” in honor of his election.
This line is a carefully crafted four-way cross, believed by expert breeders to consist of three parts from the Hatch bloodline and one part from the Claret bloodline. The influence of the Claret provides the white-legged variants, while the Hatch contributes powerful striking capabilities. As a result, Democrats are known for their intelligence and accuracy, traits commonly associated with the Claret line.
Democrats typically exhibit a medium-high to high stature, displaying burgundy to dark red plumage often accented with white streaks in their wings and tails. They feature white-yellow legs and black spurs, with roosters usually possessing a pea comb and short, curved beaks. Additionally, this breed boasts strong shoulders and a streamlined body shape reminiscent of the Kelso.
The lineage of the Democrat gamefowl peaked when Mr. Buddy Payton refined it further by incorporating additional Claret infusions, leading to consistently successful fighters with formidable striking power.
Fighting Style
The Democrats inherit their fighting style from their bloodlines, exhibiting the intelligence and precision characteristic of Clarets, combined with the powerful striking ability of Hatch roosters. They are known for their capability to “knock out an opponent with a single blow,” even during sparring sessions.
These fighters demonstrate a tactical approach similar to the Lemons. They are adept at ducking overhead attacks and sidestepping oncoming roosters. They wait patiently for their opponents to recover before launching their attacks with full force. Often, they observe their adversaries for openings before striking, showcasing a blend of strategy and raw power in their combat style.
